Holidaymakers looking for unique sailing experiences should consider heading to Turkey in 2011, as the country is priding itself as one of the top sailing spots in the world.

With more than 8,000 kilometres of unspoiled coastline and 311 Blue Flag beaches, there are plenty of reasons why thousands of Brits flock to Turkey for unique sailing experiences.

Sailing enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a range of prestigious international boat races and colourful festivals throughout the year. Visitors looking for a more leisurely approach to sailing can take advantage of the ‘Blue Cruise’ on a traditional wooden boat.

As well as excellent sailing adventures, Turkey also offers a breath-taking underwater world for snorkelling, swimming and diving. The many local fishing villages and tourist resorts are a vibrant backdrop to the water activities.

Prospective visitors to Turkey can head to the London International Boat Show between 7 and 16 January 2011, where the Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK will be exhibiting.
